چکیده
Introduction: Breast cancer represents a pathology that generates catastrophic impact and has recently increased its incidence survival due to timely diagnosis treatment. Therefore, improving the quality of life survivors become priority, offering reconstructive procedures reduce complications, costs, hospital stay, optimize resources. Material methods: 264 patients reconstructed with autologous tissue (TRAM flap latissimus dorsi) alloplastic (breast expander—breast implant direct breast implant) were included. Variables such as demographic, anthropometric, histologic type collected. Results: 62% through use alloplastics 38% tissue. The risk factors related greater probability immediate postoperative complications (surgical site infection, surgical wound dehiscence reconstruction failure) obesity (OR: 2.1, CI: 1.5 - 2.7), preoperative radiation 1.89, 1.75 1.92), arterial hypertension 1.2), Diabetes Mellitus 1.78) smoking 1.31). Conclusions: process is complex influenced by patient factors, surgeon experience center. However, when choosing strategy, present in each must be considered, since complications.

BREAST RECONSTRUCTION USING TRAM FLAP: PROSPECTIVE OUTCOME AND COMPLICATIONS
ABSTRACT Background: The transverse rectus abdominis musculocutaneous (TRAM) flap remains the gold standard for postmastectomy reconstruction either immediate or delayed. However, transfer of TRAM flap can be associated with donor site morbidities and complications in flap. A successful reconstruction consists of careful patient selection, surgical technique and meticulous preoperative plannin...
متن کاملIndividualized Risk of Surgical Complications: An Application of the Breast Reconstruction Risk Assessment Score
BACKGROUND Risk discussion is a central tenet of the dialogue between surgeon and patient. Risk calculators have recently offered a new way to integrate evidence-based practice into the discussion of individualized patient risk and expectation management. Focusing on the comprehensive Tracking Operations and Outcomes for Plastic Surgeons (TOPS) database, we endeavored to add plastic surgical ou...

OBJECTIVES To identify factors independently associated with surgical complications in oncologic and reconstructive surgery and to examine sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy data, along with variables that are typically known prior to definitive resection, for their ability to impact the prediction of need for postmastectomy irradiation (PMRT). DESIGN Retrospective review. SETTING University ...
متن کاملPrediction factors for breast reconstruction postoperative complications
Breast cancer is a major health problem that requires multiple forms of treatment, including surgery, adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy and more recently, reconstructive surgery. The aim of this study is to determine the factors that can predict the chances of a patient having postoperative complications after breast reconstruction.
